Learn stage and film acting with Caleb Hafen—currently playing James Potter and Cedric Diggory in Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child—and learn how to sing, act, and audition for musical theater with Alicia Kaori from Broadway’s Sweeney Todd and Brian Carey, a multi-hyphenate performer from Broadway’s Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club.

A class for kids interested in singing, acting, and movement. Students explore the basics of music, dance, and theater through practical exercises and short performance activities. The focus is on building a solid foundation, learning how to work as an ensemble, and getting comfortable on stage in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Cassie Austin (musical theater, dance, voice, acting) toured nationwide with the first national tour of Hello, Dolly!, sharing the stage with Broadway icons Betty Buckley and Carolee Carmello. She loves teaching children, and is a founding member and teacher for Interim Dance Collective.
Catherine Boyack (flute) is an award-winning Juilliard graduate and a recent member of Carnegie Hall’s resident music ensemble. Through Ensemble Connect, she partnered with schools across New York City, bringing interactive performances to students of all ages while teaching instrumental skills and guiding student-led creative projects in music classrooms.
Ephraim Birney (acting, improv) is a stage and film actor who starred in the two-man play Chester Bailey, a New York Times Critic’s Pick. He brings a sharp sense of timing, creativity, and play to the classroom, helping young actors build confidence and trust their instincts.
Ted Bushman (musical theater writing, story structure, guitar) is an ENNIE-nominated game designer, musical theater writer, and composer currently in his third year at the BMI Musical Theater Workshop. He also enjoys teaching children piano, guitar, and songwriting at the Marymount School of New York.
Brian Carey (musical theater, english/spanish) is an actor, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who recently appeared on Broadway’s Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. He is the resident music director at the Open Jar Institute and has taught at AMDA, Molloy College CAP 21, NYU, UVU and BYU.
Victoria Elena (musical theater, english/spanish) has been described as “a modern-day Julie Andrews” (Broadway World). She recently starred as Ms. Appleberry in the International Tour of Cocomelon Live, where she performed for children across South Africa and Dubai.
Emily Erekson (piano, music, songwriting) is an intermedia artist and performer with over twenty years of teaching experience. She has taught in a wide range of settings—including elementary schools, universities, and community programs—where she uses movement-based eurythmics and Kodály and Dalcroze inspired teaching methods.
Jamie Erekson (voice, composition, songwriting, playwriting) is an intermedia artist whose immersive musical play will premiere Off-Broadway in Times Square in February 2027. He has over fifteen years of teaching experience and enjoys working with students in project-based interdisciplinary environments.
Caleb Hafen (acting) works across stage, television, and film and currently appears on Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, performing the roles of James Potter and Cedric Diggory. He brings an ensemble-centered approach to the classroom, helping young actors learn to listen, respond, and create truthfully together.
Makenzie Hart (violin) is a highly sought-after concert violinist currently pursuing her master’s degree with three-time Grammy Award winner Hilary Hahn at The Juilliard School. Coming from an entire family of musicians, she loves how music can bring communities together and finds real joy in sharing that experience with children.
Alicia Kaori (musical theater, acting, singing) is a stage and film actress who performed in Broadway’s The King and I and Sweeney Todd with Josh Groban. She loves teaching aspiring musical theater performers and eating fruit pies!
McCall McClellan (contemporary dance) trained at The Gibney and approaches movement through an interdisciplinary lens, using dance as a form of visual storytelling. Her work is rooted in wholeheartedness and connection, and she loves teaching children—helping young dancers discover confidence, creativity, and joy through movement.
Donovan Taylor (drums, percussion, english/spanish) has performed all over the world, including Cuba, Australia, and the Philippines. He works as a music instructor for various organizations in NYC with a special focus on inspiring and nurturing at risk children and teens.
